You will start with the impressive Potemkin Steps. This remarkable structure together with a monument to Duke de Richelieu, semicircle houses and the whole ensemble of buildings that are developed in Primorsky Boulevard, have become a true symbol of Odessa.
Then continuing past the Catherine the Great Square with impressive monument to the Empress in the middle you will arrive at the magnificent Opera House to see its exterior. It is one of Europe's best, built in 1884-87 by Viennese architects Felner and Gelmer on the "Classic-Baroque" lines of the Vienna Opera House and the Dresden Court Theatre.
From here you will take a pleasant drive past the monumental Railway Station towards Shevchenko Park via the city's resort area Arcadia and French Boulevard viewing Odessa Distillery for sparkling wines, the building of Odessa University, Odessa Theatre for Musical Comedy. In Shevchenko Park with 225 acres of green space and a pleasant view of the sea you will have another photo stop opportunity. The park, named after the Ukrainian poet and patriot, has an obelisk with an eternal flame burning in commemoration of the Unknown Sailor. After this fascinating overview, you will stop at the city's main shopping area to purchase some local handicrafts and souvenirs typical of the Ukraine or relax in one of the open-air cafes.
