The first stop to enjoy on your eventful tour will be the 125-foot-high circular Panorama Building. You will be immediately captivated by a spectacular panorama depicting the major episodes of the Malakhov Kurgan battlefield. Marvel at the intricate details of the 5,000sq feet monumental painting created by Roubaud.
Lunch is served in the restaurant "Rybatsky Stan" (Fishermen's House) that faces the Sebastopol Bay. Following lunch, drive out of Sevastopol to Balaklava passing by the scenic Balaklava valley where the notorious Charge of the Light Brigade took place. During the Crimean War, Balaklava Bay was the base of the British fleet. And in the days of the Cold War, Soviet nuclear submarines were accommodated in the cavern of Balaklava bay. Until 1994 the town was closed to tourists. Use this unique opportunity and visit a former top secret submarine repairing facility that used to be inaccessible for many years. Explore the former Soviet submarine pens inside the rock on the shore of the Balaklava Harbour.
