Jazz Carnival

This wonderful musical festival has an emphasis on humour! For four days, the sounds of traditional jazz and free improvisation fill the Philharmonia and the Opera, as well as Odessa's streets and squares. The musicians, orchestras and Dixieland bands come from Ukraine, Russia, Austria, Germany, Spain, Lithuania, the United States of America, Brazil, Poland, France, the Czech Republic and elsewhere. Master classes are also offered for the duration of the festival. The event culminates in the Sail-Jazz-Regatta at Odessa yacht club. The harbour is filled with yachts carrying jazz musicians and partygoers. The festival ends with gala-concert at the Opera House, with an hours-long jazz marathon outside.
